COMPANY HISTORY
Since our inception, Quickline Couriers has experienced remarkable growth, building and maintaining relationships with a variety of customers from major blue-chip companies to smaller individual businesses nationwide. But where did it all begin?
Like many successful companies, Quickline Couriers had humble beginnings in co-founder Andrew Martin’s garage. In March 2016, alongside lawnmowers, a tumble dryer, and Christmas decorations, Andrew and Stephen Doran identified a gap in the crowded courier market and decided to act.
Before long, demand grew beyond the confines of the garage, and in December 2016 the first office was established in Liverpool.
By May 2017, the workforce had grown to a five-strong team. Continued success prompted another move later that year, this time into larger premises in Liverpool featuring multiple offices and meeting spaces. This location would serve as Quickline’s head office and the central hub of operations for several years.
In January 2019, Quickline launched its second operating location in Manchester, enabling stronger service coverage and faster response times across the Greater Manchester area.
Despite the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 marked a year of evolution and ambition. Quickline unveiled a fresh new brand identity and opened its third operating location in Birmingham — the company’s first move outside the North West — signalling its intent to become a truly national logistics provider.
The following year brought significant expansion as Quickline celebrated its sixth anniversary and a record financial performance. The Manchester operation was relocated to support further growth, while new offices in Preston and Stoke were launched to strengthen service coverage across the North West and Midlands.
These milestones reflected the company’s growing national footprint and continued reputation for reliability and service excellence.
Building on this momentum, 2023 saw Quickline continue its impressive trajectory. The company’s workforce grew, supported by an extensive network of drivers, subcontractors, and transport partners operating throughout the UK and Europe.
This expansion ensured Quickline’s ability to meet increasing customer demand while maintaining its commitment to quality and responsiveness.
Quickline’s eighth year in business proved to be a landmark. The company achieved a record- breaking year for revenue and growth, driven by major investments in software and technology designed to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
A dedicated haulage department was launched, broadening Quickline’s service offering beyond same-day courier solutions. During this period, Quickline also achieved both Carbon Neutral and Cyber Essentials accreditations — underscoring its commitment to sustainability, security, and innovation.
Momentum continued into 2025 as Quickline launched a new office in Leeds, extending its reach into Yorkshire and bringing the total number of operating locations to six across the UK. The company relocated its head office to a larger, purpose-built facility to accommodate growing operations and a larger team. Quickline also became an accredited Living Wage Employer, reinforcing its dedication to supporting and valuing its people.
As part of its expanding haulage division, the company secured its Operator’s Licence, and a new website was launched to enable customers to quote, book, and pay online with ease. To reflect the company’s growth into the provision of wider logistics services and its ambitious plans for the future, Quickline officially changed its name from Quickline Couriers to Quickline Logistics.
As Quickline approaches its tenth anniversary, the company remains focused on ambitious growth and continuous improvement. With a strong emphasis on innovation, technology, and customer service, Quickline Logistics continues to set new standards for reliability and excellence in the UK logistics industry.
